sapphire
Sapphire is a precious gemstone, It is typically blue, but natural "fancy" sapphires also occur in yellow, purple, orange, green and colourless; Red sapphires also occur but are called rubies. Commonly sapphires are cut and polished into gemstones and worn in jewellery.
pink sapphire
Pink sapphires occur in shades from light to dark pink, and deepen in colour as the quantity of chromium increases. The deeper the pink colour, the higher their monetary value. In the United States, a minimum colour saturation must be met to be called a ruby, otherwise the stone is referred to as a pink sapphire.

green sapphire
Green sapphire can occur in colours ranging from light mint green to dark forest green. The finest green sapphire is thought to come from Sri Lanka, but it is very rare indeed. Most of the green sapphire you will see on the market is from Thailand or Australia. These gemstones tend to be darker green and are often blue-green or yellow-green. Green sapphire may also be found from Burma and Madagascar.
purple sapphire
Purple Sapphire is the bluish purple to purplish pink coloured precious gem variety from the Corundum mineral family, it looks similar to Amethyst, but it is much rarer and more expensive, this gemstone is often set in jewellery to form designer engagement rings and pendants.

orange sapphire
Orange sapphires are quite rare, and are some of the most difficult sapphires to find in a natural, untreated state. The colour of most orange sapphires has a secondary tone of yellow as well. Intense orange sapphires that are untreated and naturally orange colour can be expensive and difficult to find in a larger carat size.
